Did you hear the great news? People United for Sustainable Housing - PUSH Buffalo - just won @Artvoice’s “Best of 2012” award for Best Activist Group.

PUSH Buffalo’s main achievement in scaling up energy efficiency retrofits in Buffalo is Green Jobs – Green New York, an innovative law drafted in partnership with the Center for Working Families in New York City. Green Jobs – Green New York, is the most expansive and scalable program advanced by PUSH Buffalo and this new program is the most ambitious of its kind in the nation.

To help the state reach their energy efficiency goals, PUSH Buffalo will work as an independent contractor for NYSERDA – New York State Energy Research Development Authority – to create living-wage jobs for local residents and to help homeowners reduce their high energy bills.
